We got a little side tracked there on Friday and didn't get to the last video about "Trends"

We're going to watch that one, then get the assignment for that one ... U3A11 ... and then get today's work.

Thursday April 20

So today in class we are going to be working through a rather ... old ... presentation on Work Habits.

You are going to be doing U3A8 together and ... assessing yourself.

After we finish together, you are going to do the following:

Five "Hello Statements" about your work habits. Statements that make you think or point out the obvious about what you learned from going through the self-assessment with the teacher.

Well, we got through a discussion of After secondary school destinations ... and THEN my students told me they'd already done it ...

Happy Easter everyone!

Today we did U3A4c ... otherwise known as "Learning outside of the regular schoolroom" ...

We had a short little set of questions on it. We did talk a lot more than we normally do, but it was all good.

Wed and Thurs April 13

These days we watched and finished the film October Sky and got the questions done.

After that, we helped each other get things done.

We are currently watching October Sky as a chance to see how hobbies and things outside of regular classes can become a career.

Today we'll be finishing off the article we started yesterday about many ways to pay for Post-Secondary Education.

It was a topic that was brought up by one of the students and I wanted to make sure that we covered it.

After that, we're going to watch a movie based on a true story called Catch me if you can.
